După cinci ani de la lansarea celebrului album “Tha Carter V” Lil Wayne lanseaza mixtape-ul intitulat “Tha Fix Before tha VI” Acest mixtape nu doar încântă ascultătorii cu versurile sale remarcabile, ci și anunță sosirea mult așteptatului album Tha Carter VI.
Lil Wayne a vorbit pentru prima dată despre albumul Tha Carter VI în timpul unei reprezentații reuniunii Young Money în august 2022 la festivalul Drake’s October World Weekend din Toronto.
